Fees and client money
Ask for a written fee schedule and the details relevant to your service before instructing us or making a payment.
Tenant payments
Applicants will be told in writing about the rent, deposit and any other permitted payment before they commit to a tenancy. Do not make a payment unless you have received clear written instructions explaining what it is for.
Landlord fees
Landlord fees depend on whether you choose tenant finding or ongoing management. We will provide the service description, amount and any tax in writing before you decide whether to instruct Urban Estates. Request the current schedule at lettings@urbanestates.uk.
Client money protection
A letting or property management agent in England that holds client money must belong to an approved client money protection scheme. Before paying money to Urban Estates, ask the team to confirm the payment route and provide any certificate that applies.
Redress
Residential estate agents, letting agents and property managers must belong to an approved redress scheme. Before instructing Urban Estates, ask the Peterborough team to confirm the scheme that applies and provide the membership details.
